I think most mothers love the sight and scent of baby feet. Many young mothers, after bathing their child, patting dry, powdering -- doing all the things nice for the baby (and nice to do) -- watch, with a radiant smile, as their baby kicks up its little feet in glee.
One evening I was sitting with Mike in our Family Room reading a periodical. I saw an ad featuring a baby foot and remarked to Mike, “Look at this little baby foot. Don’t you just love baby feet?” Mike just glanced over and smiled.
Even before its first wobbly steps, the uncharted path of the baby in life has begun. That’s all I am trying to say in my painting, Journey
