Every Spring we are reminded to change our clocks one hour in order to go onto daylight savings time. Every year, many zillions of people throughout the world dutifully crank, dial, stir or otherwise manage to reset their clocks -- as do corporations and governments, shopping malls and churches. A Spring ritual that is totally ignored by Nature.
For years many, like me, had to think twice or even three times – which way do I turn the hour hand in order to “save” daylight? Is it forward or backward – up or down?
A few years ago some savvy ad guy came up with a solution. And his solution became the subject of one of Helen’s more endearing paintings: Spring Forward.
